About LifeX Research
LifeX Research Corp is a health data and research organization. It collects and analyzes health data to advance longevity, healthy aging, and overall wellness, with a preventive, longitudinal research focus.
LifeX gathers voluntary lifestyle, biometric, and wellness information from its employees, called Research Associates, through questionnaires and tracking tools.
What Research Associates do
Research Associates take part in that work. Through questionnaires and tracking tools, they contribute the lifestyle, biometric, and wellness information that longevity research depends on — and they see their own health habits and measures more clearly along the way.
Participation is voluntary, and it adds up to something larger: findings that help people age well and stay well. A Research Associate is a W-2 employee of LifeX Research, so this is a real role with real standing in the organization.
Group benefits come with the role
One of the best parts of being a Research Associate is the benefits. Because Research Associates are employees, they have access to wellness benefits through the LifeX employee health benefit plan — an ERISA-governed, self-funded employee health benefit plan, the same kind of group coverage large employers offer.
Depending on the plan selected, benefits may include employee medical benefits and 24/7 telemedicine, with dental and vision options available. This is group employee coverage, not individual insurance, which is why the rates look the way they do.

Your health data is handled with care
LifeX collects, handles, and shares data in compliance with applicable law, including HIPAA, and is transparent with participants about how their data is used.
Personally identifying information is removed before any data is analyzed or shared. LifeX shares only population-level, anonymized insights with Research Partners under research agreements.
